Transformers: Fall of Cybertron

Did a search, but was surprised to see there's no thread for this game. The first was the second good Transformers game (after the Transformers: Armada game from a few years ago), and this one looks to be even better. Lots of favorites, including the Dinobots, combiners, triple changers, and who knows what else! Comes out this fall -- cannot wait till August 28.

One disappointment is that they seem to have removed the co-op aspect from the first game. I guess that comes with the unique gameplay they're pushing, but part of what made the first awesome was playing with friends (and naturally being host and grabbing Optimus before anyone else could). Would really love if they reincorporated that -- even if only for a side campaign or something..

The no co-op might be a deal-breaker for me. Had way more fun playing with friends and laughing at some silly deaths than playing solo. The mp was also laggy as hell and would of been much better if they incorporated things correctly.

If it stays solo only I would end up picking it up after a price drop.

Pretty much. That Amazon one is nothing short of terrible, who'd actually want Bruticus looking like the awful gen 2 figure?

That customization sounds awesome -- that's what I wanted from the first game. Still sad they got rid of the co-op, and I don't like the redesign of Optimus, but given I'll be using the G1 skin, guess that last one isn't really a problem.

it's a shame to lose co-op but I never did do it with a friend. just random nobodies who I didn't care to play with really

I played it with LS mates. Was fun taking over Vent, arguing over people (me) grabbing Optimus first, and yelling at each other for doing stupid shit XD

Admittedly don't play XI anymore, so can't do that anymore, but still!
