God of War 1 and 2

MGS3
Super Mario Galaxy
Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess and Wind Waker
Biggest one of all has to be Okami... was pretty much the most critically acclaimed PS2 game around when it came out. I was bored of it after about an hour. I just remember there was a huge thread about and all of you guys adored the game :D

I think the OP's trying to say "Popular games that didn't rate with you."

Only thing that comes to mind (and this isn't popular, but a lot of people seemed to like the games) is the X-Men Legends series. It got a lot of praise and I thought it was an extremely generic action RPG. The mutant powers were very disappointing.

I guess it's tough for me to say since I don't usually buy the more popular games, like your Halos and your Half-Lifes.

MGS3 is one of my favorite games of all time

Only game I can think of off the top of my head is the Halo series. Although I'll admit that I went to "Halo Parties" when it first came out. I would never buy it myself. Just fount it to be over rated.

A year ago I would have put Final Fantasy X on here but after replaying parts of it and doing some Monster Arena grinding (I can beat everyone up to an including Ultima Buster, I gave up before even attempting Nemesis though) I've decided it's not so bad after all.

The new prince of persia; I don't know if it was "highly acclaimed" but it seemed to have gotten a good rating. Game pisses me off so much I uninstalled it after the first boss when I just left it on to go eat lunch for a couple hours. To my demise I came back and I was still alive getting beaten on.

How could you hate God of War and Okami? Did you hate Shadow of the Colossus too?? Man I could say "how could you?" to practically that entire list, I don't know what that says about me.

I will have to agree with one though, and that would be FFXII. 9-10 all around from the magazine/website ratings system. I was so excited to play that game, waited for months like everyone else, got it at midnight etc., and............ugh. Painful sad memories of how much that game sucked for me.

Also yes, how the fuck did GTA4 get the ratings it did. Well specifically talking about the heaping pile of dog shit the PC version is; Actually no, I'd rather eat dog shit then play that game on PC.

inb4 "lol ign" but it has to be the biggest contrast between user reviews and press reviews that I've ever seen. Average Press gave it 8.6 and the Users gave it 5.3; like what the fuck?

Maybe Half Life 1 and 2, not that I dislike them per se, but I just can't play them. For some reason I always get motion sick while playing them, only game I've discovered that will do it to me and I'm not sure why.

I'm quite good at picking games that I'd like, so mine are just not as good as the hype but still enjoyable

Mass Effect (FUCK that game fails at being a Bioware RPG. No breadth at all and a complete retread plot)
Fable II (Molyneux'd)
GTA4 (Its failures and overhype are well known and well documented)
WoW (Lacked that magical something for me that I wanted, didn't feel as well done as other Blizzard games)
Oblivion (Worst leveling system ever conceived and everything was so repetitive in general, you rarely felt like you were venturing into the new, it was always more of the same)
Bioshock (Cool plot first half, then it went all video gamey and blew the momentum it had. Gameplay was average.)
