Alexander has control too I've been looking and it doesn't seem like there's any new Campaign Ops. Do ANNMs show up at all before an area is controlled?

I posted this a while back when Sandy got control of Beau [S] (Week after the update), and Rocl said there was no new Ops or stuff in general for Northernland areas in the dats. Today we have control of Xarcabard, so I'll see how the campaign is (If there is any difference).

While it's possible that you're right (up until last patch Kindred offensive units in non-northlands zones didn't get such messages), it's more likely because the campaign update at conquest tally reset your nation's intel to a lower level, and you won't see them again until you're back up to level 9 or 10 or whenever you start seeing those again.

As for Campaign Ops there is no new ones for Xarc and Glacier as of now, pretty sure it was in the update notes from the day of the update. ANNM pretty sure there is nothing there for those either, as for doing ANNM im also pretty sure it doesnt matter who owns the area you can still do them. As for victory notices and what mobs are comming and stuff liek that i have no clue, i usually pay no attention to it other then seeing battle started, battle ended... could care less to knowing whats comming... only care for killing stuff for decent exp

An area must be under allied control to do ANNM. At least, I am nearly certain this is true, or else I'm going to strangle somebody for doing pashow when we could've been doing crawler's.

As for the messages missing, Suiram is right, whatever country has control of Beaucedine_S apparently doesn't have a high enough recon level to tell you what happens in the northlands, and if it doesn't have that high of a recon level, then it obviously doesn't have a high enough level to tell you what kindred are coming. This is one of the downsides to doing campaign early in the week (particularly Sunday afternoon) because very rarely do people spam Intel Ops.

And as stated several times, there are no new campaign ops, though I think it is possible for you to do some campaign ops in the Northlands? I know you can't do Aegis Scream/Smokescreen but perhaps something like Vanguard X might be possible. I don't know, I didn't look too deep into that sort of thing in the DAT files.

They do if they can spam Hawk Eye in outdoor areas (but not Deep Cover/Prying Eyes).

Yes it has to be under allied control to do them.

As stated in the update notes:

The following additions have been made to Campaign:

    * Campaign battles may now occur in the following areas:
    Beaucedine Glacier [S] / Xarcabard [S]
*These areas, however, will not host offensive and defensive operations such as Aegis Scream and Smokescreen.
This means that the following are not possible:
    • Aegis Scream I-IV
    • Granite Rose I-III
    • Smokescreen I-IV
    • Cracking Shells (Bastok)
    • Splitting Heirs (Sandy)
    • Plucking Wings (Windy)
    • Pit Spider I-III

Vanguard X is Supply/Transport which is possible to do in Northland areas.

Am I the only one that gets totally frustrated with Xarc (S) campaigns?

Its not even the shitty positioning on the Imps that track you down and hand out justice or the dragon that drops down and rapes people just for kicks.... but the Campaigns are just so damn short in both Beau/Xarc (S).

I dont know if it's my server or just how these Campaigns work but they last around ~10mins, the NPCs run in and get smashed up against 4ish units and if its Windy it ends even faster.

The mobs never actually defend the fort like they do usually when an attacking force is defeated, simply warp out and the battles end.

Maybe it's just my server out in the sticks or the commands being given to the NPCs in the evals but these two areas enter and exit campaign way too fast.

As if the Shadowwing Infuriators/Shadowsoul Devourers werent bad enough.....

on ifrit those battles are fucking insane. we usually have an army of people fighting those mobs, so its not that big of an issue(they usually last 20-40 min)

You really don't need that many people to win those battles or at least make them last a decent amount of time. They need to be treated similar to assaulting strongholds, so at least one person needs to pull mobs to the grinder of attacking friendly NPCs. If you just let the attacking NPCs reach the fort, most times they're just going to lose because the defenders will respawn and the attackers do not. At the very least, people should try to keep the defending generals away from the attacking forces. Most can be duoed by a PLD + some kind of support. (Shadowsoul casts Death so not so much him)

Xarc is a bit harder to pull mobs from the fort to the attacking NPCs, since the fort is mostly surrounded by non-campaign monsters. Beau gives tons of space for this though.

I haven't heard reports of any nation except Sandoria taking either of the zones. And that's probably completely due to Davilles being a killing machine. If just a few people are curing him, he can charge straight into a couple of defending waves and win. At any rate, regardless of the attacking force, people need to pay more attention to the attacking NPCs. If there's just one little taru caster left, then keep him alive and away from the fort and you'll win. Sadly there's little point in winning or losing at this point, so it's hard to fault people for not being serious in fights.

This campaign started with Quadavs, then right when the Kindred are being whittled down, Yags decide to show up. Been going on for an hour at least.

Allied forces just retreated and we have Shadowhand and Shadoweye to deal with.

Orcs decided to show up, and there's been a belfry up probably the entire time since there's been Allotaurs everywhere. Finally got people to start attacking it (It spawned around where the eyes and that one minotaur thing are) after 2 hours of a campaign battle.

Shadowwing came and left again. Conqueror Bakgodek finally left too. There's some skeletons left and I hope that's it. 2.5 hours now.

Yesterday on Shiva, we had a 13 wave Campaign in Beaucedine Glacier [S]. It lasted a really really long time. (no idea the actual length)

We had 40+ ppl there. Some battle messages said we won and others said we lost. Sometimes the NMs would warp out (after everyone took a break off and on to rest up after near wipes.)

Complete crazyiness. But generally we killed everything including NMs.

Many people are complaining about it never ending.

Turns out, in that case that you can get more xp/AN and items by joining quicker campaigns in other zones due to caps.

Windurst owned Beaucedine a few weeks back and it was always a great campaign. I averaged a good 4.5k per as RDM/WAR, and the battles rarely lasted less than an hour. It seemed like we always had Allied Mantelets up, and the Allied NPC's usually put up a good fight. This was the week after the update, it could have been a result of the op spamming going on around that time, so the nation happened to be in good standing at that time.
