FFXI Config Problem

So I just got my new laptop tonight and installed FFXI on it, but the problem is I can't load up the FFXI Config. I did some searching around, but I couldn't get an answer as to how to fix this problem. The only answers I could find were uninstall everything and start over since I installed the POL vista last, and that still didn't help. Here is the error if it helps any:

Is there anyway to fix this, or do I have to change everything by editing the registry? I just made a pretty substantial upgrade from what I was running on so I'd like to up the specs of how I was playing it to finally play outside of NES land. I hope it's the former because I have no idea how to do registry edits <_<

You've updated literally everything? I know there were patch files included to fix config.exe processes for Vista. It doesn't work still with a straight fresh install of the Vista version of POL.

Updating fixed it. I have 3 other similar reports as well that I got before updating.

edit: Yeah the newer version of config.exe is 3.0.0.0. The older is 1.5.0.0.
