    Anyone speak/read Hebrew?

I'm looking for the phonetic pronunciation of this: החיוך שלך ועיניים הם לחלוטין נשימה לוקחת.

The transliteration is: "Your smile and eyes are absolutely breath taking." I posted on yahoo answers also, and tried several translators, but they don't provide the phonetic. I wouldn't post it here unless I was looking for a quick answer, so if you know, please!

    Thanks

Maybe a English to Yiddish or Hebrew translator? Try looking up one word at a time.

Actually I think the better question is, is there a chick you are trying to pick up with this line? And more importantly than that -- are there pics?

Without vowels, I'm just guessing, but here's my best shot:
Hecheeval Shalakh L'eenyeem Ham Lecheloseen Nasheemeh Lokechet

Remember the ch is a more gutteral sound, not ch as in cheese. And even though I'm sure I got a few vowels wrong, girls love the effort.

When my Catholic mom married my Jewish Dad, his family used to call her a word, and I cant remember it right now. Anyone know? It wasnt a good word. They of course were kidding, but were serious. I heard them say it when I was a kid, and used to say innocently, and I remember getting in trouble for it. Which also caused drama cause everyone knew where I heard it.

    Goy?

It's not really a bad word, it simply means non-Jew. To some, though, that fact is considered an insult.

Without the vowels this is going to be the best you're gonna do. Where is the girl from, I could help clear it up with some regional accents.

Just a bit of advice, don't try to translate English flirting into Hebrew, the translation process usually butchers it.
You're much better with something classic like Ani veAtah Neshane et HaOlam (together you and i will change the world)

More than likely it was Goyim which is non-Jew or it's Shiksa, which means a non-Jewish female spouse/girlfriend.

Max, thank you for the transliteration, I don't have the vowels due to the translator I used to get it (well all of them actually)

@the others, yes it's for a girl. She's not Jewish, I am, but she has a thing for Hebrew. I haven't spoken it since my Bar Mitzvah 10 years ago, haha. I have pics, but I am not posting them due to what happened last time I posted pics of a girl!

Wow who knew there were so many of the tribe on this forum.

Dimmauk are you darkskinned/black? B/c Schvartz is quite derogatory towards those of darker skin tone but is used quite casually by yids.

lol why would ppl care if you said goy? It essentially means gentile and jews go for that word like half price brisket at the kashrut butcher. Also, Shiksa is kind of complementary since it denotes a non-Jewish woman which is exotic/appealing to us.

You would've been better off not confirming you had any pics of this girl. You know what the expectations will be now.

Phonetic pronunciation is going to differ dialect to dialect, and *speaker to speaker* depending on their independent registers.

You are asking something that is impossible. You can garner *a* pronunciation from text, but not a phonetic one, anyone who does it is just making *a lot* of assumptions.

Even if someone gave you the IPA of it that adhered to "standard Hebrew"(American? Israel? Armenian? Russian?), you yourself probably couldn't pronounce it due to the fact that you lack the appropriate sound inventory if you're a native English speaker.

If it's to impress some girl, move on, there's no way you're gonna do this without sounding foolish.

Even if you pull it off, she's gonna respond in Hebrew, at which point you have to explain that you're pathetic and only learned that one phrase to impress her, and failed.
