Koudelka: A playstation game that was an RPG that was pretty unknown.

It was basically an Rpg that i spent 20+ hours on to get to the end boss just to find out that you had to let the boss murder you to get the good ending.

for me it was bionic commando mostly because the checkpoints in the game suck ass and playing in commando wasn't that much fun especially when u died from a few shots and had to restart almost from half a stage.

I GTA4 was the latest game I ragequitted. The constant phone calls from people I don't care about pushed me over the edge. Rockstar had to go and take my least favorite aspect of San Andreas and make it centralized in the game.

I'll second god of war's challenge of the gods, although for me the hardest stage was with a ton of skeletons and then gorgons, had to completely alter the style of play I played through the game with to finally beat that part.

Also, the last form of Ares, where you sword fight him. He hits you twice and you die, wtf.

I'd like to mention what is one of the most well known games for frustration - Super The Empire Strikes Back. I managed to beat it, but the reward was certainly not worth the journey.

Seconding Last Remnant, game is bullshit for the most of the first portion. Well, only if you try to do sidequests early I guess...

Sarah in Suikoden III, before I realized Silent Lake would completely shut her down. broke the corner of the game case on that one.

Phantom Brave, the movement system can really fuck with you. Nothing like seeing a character walk back and forth twenty times and completely use up their available movement for the turn because they couldn't path around a simple notch in the floor. Thank god for cancelling your moves or that game would be unplayable.

Tales of Symphonia, Yuan + Botta, especially on Hard or Mania. oh god. two bosses at once? great. just great.

so many more I can't think of offhand, those are just the most recent excepting Sarah, who will always be on my shitlist.
