have you seen Sci-Fi Science? I don't know shit about physics but this dude sounds like he's pulling shit out of his ass

What's he saying? And what channel does it come on?
I just totally pictured Woozie suddenly looking up from a board of incomprehensible mathematics, readjusting his monocle and saying "Excuse me, someone might be spouting bullshit about science! I must away!"
No clue, I just downloaded it cuz it sounded interesting.
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1588120/
Basically he is trying to explain how sci-fi stuff would work, but it all sounds ludicrous.
like
to time travel you just need to hollow out a planet of negative matter and put a spaceship in the middle and then drive it into a blackhole/wormhole, and you could set up a system of wormholes to go back a certain time, like a 1 year wormhole, a 1 month wormhole, and then your travel agent could be like ok go through this wormhole x times, this one y times, and the other one z times and VOILA
and then to go to a parallel universe you have to wait until that universe is having its big bang, and then throw negative matter at it to make a wormhole and go through
Shows like that are the scientific equivalent of a Michael Bay movie.
sorry, a correction, he doesn't go through the wormhole to the other universe he sends nanobots which find a habitable planet and reconstruct all the people from our universe
shits hilarious
Well, since he's introducing a bunch of stuff that can't exist, then technically anything is possible. But that's kind of how science fiction has to function since a lot of the stuff they want to do in movies are impossible even in theory. So yeah, it's a bunch of BS, but by science fiction standards, what they're saying isn't all that bad, I guess. And by that, I mean it's ridiculous, but it's by far not the most ridiculous thing I've heard in sci fi.
Now if you'll excuse me I need to go find my monocle.
Is that the show on spike where they compare different types of warriors and simulate them in combat? I saw an episode where they did Apache vs gladiator. Seemed interested, but I don't have cable anymore and I ended up forgetting all about it.
There was a similar show on the animal planet where they did the same thing but with different animals fighting.
man lol, is that what passes for entertainment these days?
I'll stick with the BBC.
It's a lot more interesting than my description makes it seem. And you you get to learn a lot about ancient combat and weapons and such.
hah but it seems so contrived... "Hey how can we get kids to be interested in history & nature? I know... let's MAKE THINGS FIGHT"
Yes, that show is hosted by Micho Kaku, he wrote Physics of the impossible Woozie. He is a Theoretical Physicists, so he is paid and speculate and think outside the box. I mean look at João Magueijo and his ideas on VSL (varying speed of light) and how people think he is a moron for thinking that the 186,000 mps is just an arbitrary number.
Dr. Kaku is one smart dude, you just have to take it in stride and keep in mind that what he does is postulate the unfathomable. Basically Woozie what he does is what we did on MSN that night when we were talking about multi-verses and alternate realities where Anti-Woozie is a rich, ballin' rapper that blows on dro all day and night, except he gets paid to think it lol.
