Just heard about this game and am really looking forward to it just based on the demo. Looks like it'll be a lot of fun to play due to the customization. Plus it looks really easy for anyone to do.

I personally hope that we'll be able to make some tricky tracks with pot-holes, jumps, and etc required to win the track, kinda like the crazy shit people come up with in TrackMania United.
(although I'm not expecting that level of insanity in the game)

Long as there's no particular bullshit weapon whos purpose is to explicitly give the person in 1st place a hard time.

I'd never heard of that game before. That was amazing. I imagine it took quite a bit of time to get it perfected like that.

Here's a crazier one: TM-Tube - Your TrackMania Video Portal - [PF] Phantom Fake (HD)

Those type of tracks are PF (Push-Forward), you just literally hold down the accelerator the whole time and let the track guide the vehicle about. They're for show primarily.


If you're interested, there's a freebie version of the game called Trackmania Nations Forever (which comes with the Stadium vehicle/track-parks, which both the vids I posted show-off), can get it off Steam or Nadeo's (the developer) website. There's Trackmania United Forever (Forever was a huge-ass free add-on to United owners) which includes all of Nation's content, plus all previous Trackmania vehicles & modes. Very good game if you're into doing pure time-trial runs online with others on user-made maps.

I should find my disc and reinstall it (and redownload that big-ass expansion >.< ), haven't played it in ages.

So anyone played it yet? Been wondering how feature-filled the beta is, and as to whether or not there's split-screen multiplayer in it. I've been downloading it for the past 90 minutes, and still 30 to go. ;/

Only dislike I'm going to have with this is that you have to manually connect it online everytime from the menu when you're in-game.

If this game is as good a kart racing game as LBP was a platformer, I look forward to staying as far the fuck away from it as I can. Customization can only do so much, and kart racing games are possibly the only genre with the potential to be more frustrating than platformers.

Connecting online in-game to play takes for fucking ever and when you do find a game you'll probably get disconnected. Probably a bad time to try and play this because everybody is trying to get online with it
