[dev1009] New Trigger Conditions for Notorious Monsters
- Trigger conditions for following notorious monsters will be adjustedto spawn by trading specific items to the “???” in the respective area.
  Fafnir / Nidhogg: Dragon’s Aery
  Behemoth / King Behemoth: Behemoth’s Dominion
  Adamantoise / Aspidochelone: Valley of Sorrows
  
  - The ”???” will respawn a minute after the battle is over.
  - The NM will despawn if unclaimed for 90 seconds at the spawned location.
  - The feature wherein the level of these monsters will increase after battling them for a period of time will remain unchanged.
- How to obtain the trigger items:
  Fafnir: Treasure from “Early Bird Catches the Wyrm”
  Behemoth: Treasure from “Horns of War”
  Adamantoise: Treasure from “The Hills are Alive”
  * At least one of these items will be dropped in every battle.
  
  Nidhogg: Treasure dropped by Fafnir
  King Behemoth: Treasure dropped by Behemoth
  Aspidochelone: Treasure dropped by Adamantoise
- The treasures dropped by the following notorious monsters will be adjusted as follows:
  Fafnir : Wyrm Beard removed
  Nidhogg : Drop rate of Wyrm Beard decreased
  Behemoth : Behemoth Tongue removed
  King Behemoth : Drop rate of Behemoth Tongue decreased
  Adamantoise : Adamantoise Egg removed
  Aspidochelone : Drop rate of Adamantoise Egg decreased

Yeah, not too sure how I feel about this if they just removed the timed spawns entirely. Not like Kindred Seals exist in the game currently unless you're exping on mobs above 50 and below 80.

I don't really understand the point of removing the BB items from the T1s. Was there too many people getting BBs and it started to piss SE off cause they want Mnks to sport Twilight Belt?

The more I think about it, the more I get annoyed. Not that I ever did Kings or anything, but fuck, we're literally going to drive them to extinction when the entire game's population is out of Kindred Seals a week after the release.

I just checked Shami; Leveling six? seven? jobs to 75 in ToAU only gives me just under 6 orbs' worth of pops. Split among 3 mobs...

Yeah. Not sure if like.

watch more people camp these NMs again before the may patch...

provided trig drops are 100%, it'll give people a chance to fight nid more at the expense of 99 ks, which is reasonable..
if it isn't, no one is gonna do behemoth or adamantoise.. but then again it wont change very much considering the value of their loot has dropped significantly.. too little too late for this one.

at most we're gonna see more ridills, and these 3 zones will finally become even more dead than they already are

in other words, unless trig conversion is 100% from KS orb -> nq -> hq all the way.. this is a nerf.

Now come on guys, you're missing the whole point.

Obviously this change was inspired by all of the players who were bitching and moaning about Abyssea EXP ruining the game. Now that Kindred Seals are required to do HNMs, players are going to be forced to EXP outside of Abyssea from level 40-75 if they want Kindred Seals. Don't you see? They couldn't just buff EXP outside again, so instead they required outside EXP in order to get Black Belts, Ridills, and Drings! It's genius!

I don't know you can farm KSs fairly damn fast. I'm betting that they're be more pops of these NM consistently then there used to be. They may adjust it later if people run out of KSs anyways. They can simply remove the drop timer off them to do this.

A quick bit of math, if I remember correctly KSs can drop every 5 minutes that's 495 minutes for 1 pop. Even doubling that it's just over 16 hrs. So really what's faster the new way or old? Effort wise I guess it's no park my ass in bot mode for 3 hrs and watch anime but take in account anyone in your LS will slowly be getting pops if they want to do the NMs.

As much as people may think this is crap it's still better than the monopoly bots had...but yeah why now lol

Eh, I feel like it might be a decent change. I haven't camped HNM in a couple of years, and I wouldn't mind dicking around with Faf again with my group of 6 people for fun without actually having to camp. But yeah, the loot from these NM's is almost all outdated now except for maybe some situational use, right? I can't see this having too much of an impact besides causing some annoyance to monks.

Even if they drop every 5 minutes and you get zero Beastman Seals out of it you're still looking at just over 8 full hours per pop. Unless it's too late and my math is off or I'm missing something.

Which nets you a 100% drop for the NQ and HQ NM pops if I'm reading it correctly.

Edit: The key is to make friends with a Bst or Maat cap that's saved up a billion pops or just buy them off people.
