Windows Live Messenger locks up when I transfer a file

Sometimes when I run Windows Live it locks up when I try to send something. It could be a .ZIP, picture, video, etc. I can still get on the window, but I can't type anything or get messages. The only way I can get back in is if I use task manager to close wlcomm.exe and msnmgr.exe.

However, this is just a temp fix and if I try to send something after starting up Messenger again, it just locks up like it did. The only real way I can seem to fix it is by restarting my PC, but it's becoming a pain in the ass.

Anyone have a similar problem like this? If so how did you fix it?

Tried that, doesn't seem to work. Wondering if something is fucked up during boot up.
