PUP is far more versatile and can solo better 1-60.

Oh and the maton can get stoneskin without using rare/ex enchanted boots.

Healing Breathe delayed my death by maybe 5 seconds after a good Chi Blast at Kirin one time.

    DRG still suck though.

It's the new BST, not DRG.

PUP better be good at solo, I'd invite DRG every day of the week over them.

After 6 days you've already decided they're useless

I'd invite a puppetmaster , depending on the puppet's dmg output. If they can put nice numbers and the master is smart with his attachment usages , sure, if they blowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww, lol im not inviting a DRG, i'd rather get a thief, one of the most overlooked jobs damage wise.

That's what I dont understand, even at 57 all my SC outdamage all WAR's rampages, all DRG penta, all sam Tachi:whatever, yet we're still looked at "crap". My favourite party setup : 2x thf 2x nin 1 brd 1 healer. Everyone does damage, nobody gets hurt.

Because most THFs suck. I'd say they have one of the worst playerbases, at least on my server. A lot of them are geared for evasion over attack and don't bother work on their damage gear for parties. A lot of the rest of them think their work is complete once they get Theif's Knife. Its similar to a certain other community who likes to only get gear for big WSes instead of strong DoT gear.

RNG puppet apparently does sick damage, at 12 my puppet was 1 shotting EP's, doing about 80-100 a shot. The rng puppet ws is semi dissapointing though, but Nutcracker (my puppet, best name ever) will probably learn more as his ranged attack skill goes up.

Also, early on you don't feel the sting of a C grade weapon (say 1-40), and with merits you can actually do semi decent, you just won't be outdamaging a monk unless you factor in puppet damage as well.

Are you talking about DRK lol?

Of the 3 new jobs, Puppetmaster looks the least useful. I'd leave it at that.

RNG matons do pretty decent damage, add in not-so-hot hth damage alongside it and it adds up to good dmg with high mob TP generation.

    Puppetburn parties are fun. :D

RNG matons do not seem to be subject to the distance-affects-accuracy rule.

    I wish you could check a puppetmaster's maton's attachments.

Puppetmaster's are like the old NA release parties.

There is no tank except PLD.
There is no DD except RNG.
There is no Healer except WHM.
Now they need a corsair to use both "Enhance pet..." rolls to play 'Bard' and they're ready to rock 2004 style.

No playerbase blows more than RDM. Period.

I'll give you that the range of talent varies a LOT for rdm. but it's probly just that a shitty RDM is far more obvious than a shitty DD.

shitty DD is pretty obvious, but it blends in because DD is so hard/expensive to actually be 'good'.

I'm not saying auto-attack is lolhard, I'm saying it takes a lot of time to build up the gear to be actually good at melee DD, and not mediocre, like 75-80& of the leveling population.

Agreed. WHM makes a close 2nd.

Most of them don't even acknowledge that Haste exists.

WHMs who spam Cure 2/3/4 instead of waiting and using a single Cure V baffle my mind. Combined with their inability to remove status effects, it pains me to party with incompetent WHMs.
