Another Besieged Post: Server Standing?

How are all the other servers holding up in Besieged so far?

Today Siren lost its first General, the hume drk, flameserpent or something similar. Then had to do a Troll Mercenary attack with only the 4 seals. Fortunatly trolls are still weak as hell, and we got another victory for Siren.

Any other servers still undefeated? Anyone lost a huge amount of times?

bahamut still hasn't lost yet, closest we got to losing was when 3 generals were defeated during an Undead Swarm(i think? quite a while ago now) lv5

For the first time, right after the update on the 24th, Kujata lost all of its Generals, mainly due to the fact that we had only 200 peeps in the zone. The Hal of Biding was opened, but we managed to held off till they retreated.

The Besieged went something like this;
Besieged begins!
5 mins later, one General is down!
10 mins later, another General is down!
5 mins later yet another General is down.
10 mins later, the MNK General (the one which Kujata all loves) is down!
Not sure about the mins, but General Mihli was the last remaining General and she was at the Hall of Biding front entrance. All of the mages were keeping her alive until she fell in battle. Kind of weird seeing as how we had a fuckton of mages keeping her faggot ass alive.
When the hall of Biding opened, we got about 100 peeps that came into the zone and we ZERGed every mob that entered the Hall.

About 8 prisoners got captured, including the warp taru, AH manager and other useless NPCs. We got em back before anyone noticed they were gone.

In situations where very few people are in the zone, Beseigeds are still very doable, you just need a lot of teamwork. spam cure the generals is the way to win.

also, people really really need to fucking understand to get the Assault Dragaurs the FUCK away from everyone else. I dont' know why that shit is so hard for people to understand, I do /sh {Skeleton} {Pull back.} like 100 times and nobody fucking listens it's soooo annoying, they just sit there and fight it next to 10 other mobs that people are fighting.

It's not about the peeps at all, most of the time. But, everytime they do a Besieged in JP time, I just can't seem to enter the area. This is why I was soo happy when they did a back-to-back Besieged on the day of the update.

They certainly do, especially when it's Undead vs 200-300 people.

First it looked as if we had it under control till suddenly the first 4 Generals died. Tried to keep the last one alive with cures and killing mobs around him but yeah ... he died too ; ;
After AC was accessable, mobs would ignore hate and just zerg into the Hall of Binding and eventually get the Candy.

After about 24 hours, Undead are still @133 and defending. A few friends and I went to the Reef. We got some new keyitems for killing Lamia/Merrow ("Lamia / Merrow Homunculus") which none of us had seen before. So far we only found a use for Merrow Homunculus, it's used to open a door @ I - 11 on the second map (labeled "I" on somepage). Only found a bunch of IT truesight Lamia mobs there though.
I guess we'll go back lateron to find the corresponding door for the Lamia keyitem.

That little bridge you see at (I-7) should contain some true sight Lamia, called Nix Songstress. They are not NMs, just have different names. Anyway good luck, post your findings

Midgardsormr's standing used to be 200, but it seemed to drop. We've never lost one.

It also depends on the donations to Gajaad (the Turban guy). Less donations = points fall.

Surely there aren't people with their head so far in the sand that they believe this? I'm pretty sure that a quick check on any of the known FFXI sites and forums would reveal that only a handful of servers have actually lost their Astral Candysence.

Even if they lost the Astral shyt, it would have prolly been a fight to THE END! (sorry, a server-wide joke).

Besieged nowadays seems more like a quick way to gain some IS and XP when you're either bored or have nothing better to do than sit around Aht Urgan Whitegate and stare at all the people pass by.
