Alright, I cant figure it out... do you have to follow the ghost npc in a full loop in costume without her seeing you? or can you do it without a ghost costume?

How the hell do you do this event? I gave a spirit a pie, it turned me into a yag, I talked to the ghost the start NPC told me to ( which I now know you aren't supposed to do), and it said I wasn't a monster and my costume disappeared.

Now every time I try to trade a pie to a spirit for a new costume, it just says "Thank you...," takes it, and that's it. I've tried canceling and restarting, zoning, etc.. Wtf is with this event?

You need a costume, but it can be any monster costume. Wait for her to say to leave her in peace or whatever (which is about a full loop if you've been close enough), then talk to the original NPC (in wise gear).

I was going for the HQ hat until the server decided to pull a mass disconnect, waiting a game day now so I don't waste money buying more sweets for costumes.

You can't use the same type of sweet twice a day. Buy another type or wait a game day.

Talk to the exorcist first. Follow the ghost until they dismiss you.

Can the Pitchforks be bought from an NPC like the Clamming gear was during the summerfest? I missed out on the pitchforks last year

The only things I saw at the NPCs were Jack-o-Lanterns (which the costume NPCs won't even take) and, if you have a witch hat on, the new lantern furniture. I think it's Mandragora for Windurst, Bomb for Bastok, Pumpkin or something for San d'Oria.

Apparently you can't grab a witch hat in one city, run to another and then just pick up that city's lantern. Trying to find out if you need to do the quest in that city or something.

Quest them. Only thing NPC buyable is Jack-o'-Lanterns

Evidently if you have halloween items in storage with the event npc I would suggest taking them out. I had a Treat Staff in npc Storage and the event npc gave me one.

Randomly got a pumpkin hat II trading a sweet to a monster npc, same as old I guess. The chick taru witch isn't saying anything <.<

I got the Coven hat and it allows you to buy all 3 of the furnishings at your local moogle. The HP latent is on, Iceday Waning Crescent 38%

Latent HP worked for me too, kind of depressing that MP doesn't kick in at the same time.

It's probably a greater than/Less than 50% moon thing. My guess considering the super pumpkin heads have moon crap and so far we've only had HP kick in.

From what I can see, if your main job has no mp, you get the hp, if your main job has mp, you get the mp.

imo, it might be one of the better, if not best(though all three Eggs are pretty godly) event piece.
