Low level MNK weapon progression

I'm currently lvl 19 MNK and had a few questions about the progression of weapons up until 50 when you can use Cross Counters.

I'm pretty much unsure on when a certain weapon is an "upgrade" or not.

For example, I currently use Republic Knuckles. At level 20 I can get Metal Knuckles +1 which has 1 more damage and 1 more acc but 15 more delay and a loss of 3 attack. I'm not sure if this would be a good switch or not. I'm leaning towards not.

I was thinking this:

Republic Knuckles > Lynx Baghnakhs > Boreas Cesti > Mythril Knuckles +1 > Exocets > Cross-Counters

I stayed with Republic until Boreas myself. I couldn't convince myself that anything between was too much better.

My progression was Republic Knuckles > Boreas Cesti (Switched occasionally with Impact, depending on my mood) > Mythril Knuckles +1 > TM Hooks > TM Hooks +2 > Wagh Baghnahks > Destroyers

Couldn't get Exocets because I couldn't take out the mob that has them, and I didn't want to ask my friends at the time. =o Too poor for Cross-Counters, friend helped me with the TM Hooks +2 though. =o
