Haircut question

So I went to get a haircut today @ great clips, and I was wondering what you consider to be a good tip to the hair cut lady. I left mine a $6 tip and I swear she looked at me like I was the cheapest bastard in the world. I always thought that I was tipping them pretty well but I guess not. Anyone know someone that ever worked @ a place like this? Not a fancy salon but just great clips or some shit like that.

My haircut is usally $12 and I always leave $15. $3 dollars is a 25% tip, greater than most people give at restaurants.
