Mabey it will have a different plot then every other Tales game!
I dont like their character design much, but the game look pretty good. Probably going to play it if I have the opportunity.
Tales game are always going to be light hearted and feel similar to some extent, but Tales of the Abyss story wasn't bad. Wasnt about doing a pilgrim to all 7 temples.Originally Posted by Vinen
Yeah, I know I'm just saying they all really end up feeling the same. For the most part the character development is the same. heck, outside of Veigue from Tales of Rebirth and the main character of ToI all the main characters a nearly the same to some extent. They are all morons...Originally Posted by Kaylia
Looks pretty good, I would probably buy a 360 for it even (assuming it comes out on that format).
Given the temporary meta-tags on the Tales of Vesparia site that went up today that said "Xbox 360" but were taken down, I'd assume it will be.
Everyday that goes by I feel better about buying a 360.
My money's on 360-exclusive since Namco's moving everything to that console (coughAceCombatcough)
That's the only game exclusive that makes me sad. Just more incentive to pick up a 360 though.Originally Posted by Starless
I'm really considering just spotting for one, it seems like everything I want/am going to want (sans FF13) is either on both PS3/360 or just the 360, this would be no exception; glad to hear it sounds like a good investmentOriginally Posted by Kurokikaze

Am I the only one that has difficulty in tolerating cel-shaded games with potentially dark plots? Guess it's hard to get immersed if it feels like you're watching a saturday morning cartoon.
I stopped caring for graphics a long time ago so probably.
Anyways, I really wish they would stop making the "Tales of" series games exclusive to specific consoles =/
Though like the FF series, been lacking in that "Tales of" buzz ever since Eternia (Rebirth is suppose to be amazing but I haven't gotten around to... acquiring it <<; ) though Abyss was a really nice :D
Perhaps the Tales series is suffering from its nauseating overabundance in the marketplace. It seems like they release a new game every 4 months on a random system, with varying degrees of quality.
The Magic-Box had about 7 pages of screenshots of Vesperia, and I will say that graphically it looks pretty good. They said it was running at 720p resolution, so its definitely either 360 or PS3.
Yea what really quirks me about the "Tales of" series, I like the series as a whole since fundamentally it's mostly good games but the fact that they keep on keeping certain titles exclusive to specific consoles is really annoying.Originally Posted by Xavier
The bigger problem is them not localizing a good portion of their games -_-Originally Posted by Zarath

This game was confirmed today that it'll be a 360 exclusive I believe?
Pretty sure it was confirmed that a while ago.Originally Posted by Amiel
They just annoucned today it would be released this year in the United States.
Still, the best Tales games were never released in the US which just makes me Q_Q since I want to play them in English (I've imported them all...)
Tales of Destiny PS2 Version
Tales of Destiny: Directors Cut PS2 Version
Tales of Destiny 2
Tales of Rebirth
These three, in my mind have the best combat systems and stories.
I've never played any of the Tales game *ashamed* maybe I'll pick it up. Are all the Tales linked to one another, story-wise?
ToD1&2 are the only ones directly linked.Originally Posted by Amiel
ToS is a far detached prequel to ToP.
Tekken is still going to be Sony exclusive afaik (unless you count the GBA one a few years back)Originally Posted by Starless
