Fun with Tele-bots!

You've all seen them I'm sure.

Either they are 24/7 shout spamming, or they're the ones that have the invite script going and snatch up all the ports when you're out there trying to telewhore, right?

Try this next time you think about it and get a little bored.

Step 1: Shout a teleport name, preferably one of the initial 3 ports, this bot I found today didn't have vahzl/etc, translate it of course, and don't offer any reward.

Step 2: When you get invited by the bot, stand by them. DO NOT TRADE.

Step 3: Wait for them to start casting and enjoy the free teleport.

Step 4: As soon as you get to the tele crystal, put up another translated teleport name.

Earlier, someone mentioned Vwait was telebotting, so I decided to test them.

Went Holla, I disband, run back and set HP in WG, invite the bot, Holla > Dem > Mea > Dem, they warped, I warped to WG, asked for Holla, they start running into the MH, so I stand in front of them, they teleport me and then the bot logs out.

A good time was had by all involved, I think.

Why would you want to do that? They are fast, cheap and awesome.

I don't quite understand what you're doing... you're just having them teleport you to a lot of places?

What I do seems more simple. Just shout, get invited, and then teleport them somewhere yourself. They're now stuck there, waiting for someone to shout for a teleport @ the crag instead of whitegate/jeuno.

If I didn't have to stand around shouting for 10 minutes at a time, never getting a teleport, I'd feel bad for people legitimately making money teleporting, but I always did.

Now I just stay in Bastok and OP wherever I need to be.

Nope. It was quite messed up before tele bots too. Oh yeah, not to mentian the "stupid human" factor too (/trade, brb, etc.).

And let's not forget charging more(double) for Xarca/altep,yhoator (spending more for gas amirite), slow service(mister teleporter is browsing ah) and randomly expecting 3-4k when there is no competition. And bots? consistent price and fast/good service. They /bow at you when you trade, they thank you after they port...

What else could a passanger ask for.

You could ask for a free ride.

They have people who pay attention now and then, I get the feeling its a bunch of bots in a big room, and a guy who is surfing porn that checks them now and then.

I was just testing to see how long I could make the bot port me around, I'd teleport the bot myself, but I don't even have Whm unlocked.

After the 4th port in a row they warped, and the 6th port when I stopped them at the MH was one where they let the tele hit 95% and ran into the MH, then logged.

I never had those problems If anything it was the passengers holding up the teleporters usually. the longest I used to wait before the bots became prevalent was about 4 minutes and even then I usually just used the outpost system to get where i was going faster. I'll chalk that up to server differences

biggest delay i have when porting people around is finding them when they're halfway across wg. i'll start casting the port then trade them. they can trade me while the port is going off so they're delivered not 10s after i get my payment. effective way to get the job done and get back to looking for more people to send around.

I have no problem paying more for vahzl/yhoator/altep or recalls. Any moron with a WHM subjob (this moron included) can do the basic teles, hence more competition, thus cheaper. Level higher and that competition thins out, not to mention the scrolls cost more.

And if it really puts sand in your vagina to pay more- check out the rings. Often times you'll see that 10 teles from the shouters is several thousand more than a 10 charge ring...not to mention no waiting.

actually it's much better than that if you're going to the right crag. on kujata a teleport altep ring is between 3-4k roughly while the ring NPCs for about 2.6 when empty. even at 4k for the ring, that's about 140 gil per port. much cheaper and more convenient than shouting.

Heh, there is a cool trick you can use for free teleports, even if you shout "Reward:".

If it's a bot, you can put up the gil for about a second and take it down before they confirm.. and it's tricked into thinking you traded the gil. Hit your confirm and it will tele you and say thank you
