PS3 Remote Play problem

I recently bought a WiFiMAX usb dongle to fix a problem I've been having with the wireless router not reaching my room well enough to keep a lag free enviroment when playing handheld games online or using remote play. I have no problem connecting to the internet with my PSP, DS or Wii through the WiFiMAX, and if I stand in a better spot of the house I have no trouble using the router's wireless function to access remote play through either private network or the internet. However, I can do niether through the WiFiMAX. Anyone had a similar problem and was able to fix it? Or know how to? ;(

I'm pretty sure the PS3 doesn't allow anything like that through it's USB connections.

I had a similar problem where the signal from my wireless router was too weak to my room as well, so I got this Amazon.com: Hawking HWREG1 Wireless G Range Extender: Electronics and it's been working fine. Full bar signal in my room, able to use the remote control on the ps3 from my psp. No problem so far.

@mootsfox: The WiFi dongle isn't plugged in my ps3, it's plugged into my pc. The ps3 is connected to my router through ethernet. Setup is:

(PSP) <~wifi~> (WiFiMAX dongle) <-cable-> (PC) <-cable-> (router) <-cable-> (PS3)

and that is not working. Following setups work, however I need to be in a different room:

(PSP) <~wifi~> (PS3)
(PSP) <~wifi~> (Router) <-cable-> (PS3)


I guess I could try a range extender if everything else fails ;x ty gt_killa. I'll give this a while longer though. hopefully there's a solution out there!
