They say all black people don't know how to act.

That's partially because the ones that want actually to do well too often end up murdered. I don't know how many times I've seen this same story, from a frat brother, to my own classmate(thank God he survived), to just random stories on the net/news.

So basically what we get left are the rappers, actors, athletes, and 25 to lifers representing us.

You don't see us much, but there are other Woozies and Mizangos out there that are actually productive in our society. It's just that if the news is going to show a black person, it's going to be a LeBron or Soulja boy, or a O-dog and Cain and not a Neil deGrasse Tyson.

What I'm saying is that I wish there are plenty of productive black people out there. The reason we're being represented by rappers, actors, athletes, gangsters, etc, is not because all of the good people are being killed off. But it does upset me when I see stuff like this article you posted.

Right on my brother. What's funny is Woozie and I have this conversation when we are offline much more often than not. It's a culture thing, we are made to be able to recognize a Nike symbol but can't point out what an atom looks like. We can remember the entire roster, history and ppg Kobe posted in the 2000 season yet we can't get down the most fundamental of math and sciences.

I could go on and on but Woozie hit it right on the head. Both of us came from your stereotypical gun and drug infested backgrounds and dysfunctional families and yet decided to check the excuses and sense of "black" entitlement at the door and to make something of ourselves. It chaps my ass when we can name everyone in the Firm, Swisha house or in the Dogg pound yet no one can name anyone that has ever held the prestigious Lucasian chair or the Nobel peace prize. When I was a kid I dreamed of doing both and still do.

I could go on and on about this but yeah, it is a mind set over anything else. Woozie is like an actual brother to me and has been to a long time. Yeah no homo blah blah but he's knows whats up and I treat him as such and will continue to.

Like he said you don't see us much but we are out here. It pisses us off just as much as it pisses you off.

I've never seen black people together at a mall that walk in lines instead of groups. Well unless they're in line at the chineese food restaurants. And they're not the ones who walk incredibly slow - that's white peoples jobs. But they are loud though.
