GFX with HDMI to amp question

Hi everyone, i've put in an order for a 5770 cucore from Asus and the bonus of this card is that it will output audio over HDMI. I have a sony STR DG820 with Tannoy 5.2 SFX speakers linked to my 40" Samsung 1080p TV and PS3. Watching blu-rays is great, i've been using tversity to stream HD movies from my PC to my PS3 to get the best picture and sound but its a hastle.

The question has anyone used a 5770 with HDMI to an amp if so does it work with out any issues? any settings i need to set up ? Any information that i should know?

I have used the integrated HD3200 on my motherboard, and currently an HD5450 over HDMI. So...not a 5770...but same product line.

Settings-wise, the main thing that comes to mind is that for some stupid reason ATI has image scaling by default over HDMI. So you'll probably have a black border around the picture until you adjust that. Basically just have to go into Catalyst and the Displays section on the drop down menu, right click on the small monitor icon on the bottom (the large icon won't give the same options) and go to Scaling.

The audio driver may also need to be updated in order to do more than stereo sound.
