    Windows 7 Language Packs

So, from what I understand, you can only install language packs using 7 Ultimate. I only have home edition. If i remember correctly, XP and Vista would let you install other languages no matter which version you had. Is there ANY way to get a language pack to work with the Home version of 7?

$140 extra is way to much money to upgrade to ultimate, especially if i just want ONE other language on my system. Yes i know i can torrent Ultimate 7, but i was a sucker and bought the copy of windows that I have now, and don't want to end up hacking a copy anyway.

    Thanks~

From my digging you have 3 options

1.) There are programs that do what your looking for: Vistalizator: http://www.froggie.sk/

2.) Get the pack and repackage the win 7 iso you have with multiple languages: http://forums.mydigitallife.info/thr...0057#post80057

3.) Break down and get a copy of ultimate.

I had a slimier problem. i bought win 7 Pro and when i went to upgrade my vista ultimate it said no. Got a cracked 7 ultimate the next day. Some of the stuff they pull pisses me off...

Just wanted to say this but XP you couldn't change the language on any version like that. You had to buy a Multilanguage pack that M$ sold seperatly

Vista you could but just like W7 you needed at least pro or ultimate to change language

Wanted to follow up on this guide. Turns out if you already have any version of 7 installed, you can type in any OEM key into the Anytime upgrade and install with OUT a torrent! I did use the locker or whatever its called to change the Bios to the matching CD Key after the installation was completed. I was amazed it was that easy.

    Thanks again for that link!

Sweet, so all I'd need to upgrade to ultimate is just an ultimate key. No installation disc or anything necessary, just go to Anytime ugprade?

Every install of 7 and Vista is really Ultimate, they just turn features off based on your registration code. The data is there, just inactive, so Anytime Upgrade unlocks it immediately without install or reboot.
