Drivers don't install?

So I had this annoying bug where my screen would freeze for 0.3 seconds ever so often when watching any kind of videos. Thought it might be my drivers so I got myself Driver Sweeper to get rid of the old drivers and DL'd Catalyst 10.4's (I hear it's the most stable version for now).

However it doesn't seem like the drivers install to the PC? It didn't ask me to restart or anything, and after I did there seems to be no change from before at all. Suddenly my screen doesn't even support resolution higher than 1600x1200 when before it could run 1980x1200 easily.

So, what did I screw up this time?

Did you uninstall CCC/CIM from the program menu? Could try running CCleaner as well.

Also; check you got the correct drivers for your card/OS/bit

EDIT:: You can also try uninstalling monitor/card via devce manager, restart and install CCC (after windows has installed default ones)

Yeah I didn't uninstall the catalyst from program menu, so it was never completely removed from the system. It's working now, ty.
