If anyone is running on a laptop and requires the "GO" version of these drivers, check out LaptopVideo2Go. They're in the process of moving to new servers, but you can still download the modified .inf file that will let you install the drivers on your laptop from their forums. Thanks again to the OP for posting about these drivers.

if you aren't having problems with any games you play, then you don't need to upgrade drivers. simple as that.

using the 169.04(?) crysis beta drivers that came out about a month ago, my frames were about 3-5 fps @ whitegate AH fully crowded

getting about 15fps now, which is what I used to get on my old 1950XT ati card

about fucking time

It does, I tested it last night. I moved everything back over from XP to Vista. (I think Vista is prettier Q_Q-b)

Is there a difference between GeForce 8600M GT and 8600 GT?

The difference I believe is that the M stands for mobile, which is found in laptops.

I personally use the Tweaks R Us modded drivers for my 6600whatever, and don't have too many terrible issues like most say, but I may see what this does.

I do recall at FanFest they implied this was coming and it just required a boot up Nvidia's behind.

its removed the horrid lag from firaga 3 and minuet (i know they said they fixed it forever ago but it didnt change for me, this has sorted it)
