    Strategies for Low Man ZNM

I have been looking through the forums to see if anyone has killed T1-4 ZNM 3 people or less. I am a returning player and my only focus is on completing BLU and WHM weapons without having to join a Endgame shell for them. Can anyone point me in the right direction or post a link to any helpful information. Thankee

A friend, 85 kannagi nin and I as whm have duo'd with no problem Chigre, Wulgaru, Cheese Hoarder, Iriz Ima, Dea, and Anantaboga. We had some difficulty but managed to kill Gotoh Zha. We two with a pld have killed Experimental Lamia. We two with a rdm/blm have killed Mahjlaef. I've duo'd Ob as whm with a pup with no problem. Haven't tried the others, think I might need some more assistance.

You shouldnt really have any problems lowmanning lv75 content at lv99, with the exception of PW.

The minute this turns into the typical e-peen "suck less" thread, the person will be infracted for thread trolling, and if it gets bad enough, the thread will be closed. This thread will be monitored closely and useless content will be dealt with harshly. Let's see some facts and strategy.

Everything but PW is pathetically easy to duo.

OK then, let's start the ball rolling. I have two Experimental Lamia pops that have been clogging u my inventory forever, how would I go about two-boxing that?

Just eyeballing whats written on otherwiki and presuming its all as fact, wthout resorting to depopping adds and fighting at the ???:
pop NM, DD WS EL so adds pop and has a decent amount of enmity. Reposition yourself so your back is to EL, but facing the adds. Kill adds one by one, making sure you dont lose hate on EL (throw a WS out every so often depending what job you're on). Keeping your back to EL will prevent Belly Dance from charming you when you kill a pet. Once all 3 are dead, its a simple fight.

Thats how I see it on paper...

Couple BLUs, one zones EL, one kills the adds.

    Or

Supertank everything with BLU or PLD (probably prefer BLU here since sudden lunge would make it even more of a joke) with support from RDM or something.

I can't see a PLD, esp. Ochain, or a BLU or even a MNK having much trouble. Once I stop being lazy I'll let you know because I need to do EL for a louisville.

Honestly zoning the adds is a lot of effort for very little reward considering how easy they are at 99. Just don't get charmed and it should be an extremely simple fight to duo WHM + melee style.

My job choices are Septimus: WAR, RDM, THF, SMN, DRK
Atumre: WHM, BLU, SCH, BLM, BRD

As I would like a Mekki Shakki for Septimus's SMN and for procing fun, I would guess THF and WHM would be the route to go.

iirc lamia just sits back and shoots doesn't it? The spawns were kinda a pushover at 75 for a strong DD or 2 so should be able to have your mage have hate on lamia at a distance while the DD tears apart the adds real quick

I've fought it a few times, my experiences~

Lamps - The smoothness in which you handle these is the primary factor in how quick this fight goes. Use some kind of AoE puller with heavy defense, PDT, and Phalanx. BLU + RDM are optimal as BLU has Flashga and Stunga on decent timers, although PLD or other jobs will work also. We used a DNC once with Fan Dance (although it wasn't really that effective, to be honest.) Pull them after they have turned from the little skull guys into whatever they're supposed to be for that form as there is hate reset in between that change. For killing the lamps, use Subtle Blow heavy melee (Auspice is great for this.) Smite MNK can kill lamps before they WS even once. If you have other melee besides MNK, make them cap Subtle Blow. Uncapping Subtle Blow for marginal damage increases are completely nullified the instant even just one AoE knockback WS goes off.

Warden - NIN is highly useful for this due to Migawari on the chariot forms and pretty good DD output. You can use other DD tanks as well. The most important part is having a good PDT set to switch into during form changes and a fast WHM to accommodate this. Suddenly having 9 mobs beating down on you when it changes poses a threat to any tank. Any melee tank has damage output good enough such that you'll usually end up turning and holding some of the forms anyways due to lamps killing some of your melee because your melee ignored advice about Subtle Blow.

    Basic advice for different forms~

Chariots - Watch out for Discoid, lamps melee can speed things up on other chariots after lamps are dead, just pull back before it dies so you don't get caught up in stun + debuff AoE upon form change.

Guluul Ja Ja - Don't WS under 10% until it's at like 2~3%, then WS once to kill it. This bypasses Mijin Gakure most of the time.
Gurfurler - Don't understimate Hundred Fists, a good WHM + PDT is fine though.
Medusa - These lamps have relatively high accuracy, the threat of the tank dieing here is probably most imminent.

Cerberus/Hydra - You should probably back tank these to avoid lame WS
Khimaira - You can't Stun Fulmination, keep the melee alliance far out of range to avoid it.

For the final form, just zerg it with Perfect Defense. SAM is by far the best job for this because it has a very high intimidation rate on white damage. It doesn't have a lot of defense or HP though.

Considering it was easy at 75 and melee steamroll worked, it should work 10x better these days.
