We want to take this opportunity and assure our players that we are always striving to follow the hottest topics that are of interest within the community. As we are constantly reading the forums, feedback e-mail, and in-game reports we quickly became aware of the elemental resistance issue and the frustration it was causing. Unfortunately, it took us some time to coordinate exactly how to best address the issue with the development team which in turn made us unable to make any public announcements.

We are working hard to ensure that this lack of communication does not repeat itself in the future and would again like to apologize to our players for the delay. From everyone on the FINAL FANTASY XI team we would like to thank everyone for their continued support of the world of Vana'diel.

i'm honestly impressed. either they read the complaint emails completely enough to recognize the discontent w/ the responses we get from SE or they're actually following our forums and giving it some nonzero attention. while i still believe SE remains largely disconnected from the needs and wants of the playerbase (king spawns, AV, PW, 85% of the features of windower on other platforms, etc.) they're not totally unplugged from the community. ball's still in their court to show more interaction, but at least it revives hope that SE's not going to be a no-show.

I think they primarily read the premier site's forums, not so much our's... or else there would be a lot more to fix/being fixed.

Pretty much, but unfortunately this hierarchy of listening-to prioritizes fixing WS paralyze before instancing common endgame events.

See, I have a problem with this. Charitwo contributes there and he and I played on Pandemonium together as well as with a few others back in the day and let me tell you, he is the definition of a twit. Some of the outlandish shit that spewed from his mouth were absolutely mind numbing. I mean seriously, he has the combined IQ of a box fan and a standard roll of masking tape.

That begs the question, what did the tape ever do to me right?
