Bottled Pixies

I'd like to attempt to farm some this week. I know that they seem to drop rarely off beastmen, but that's a really broad list. Can anyone attest to getting one of these to drop? If so what type of mob/zone was it in/position was it at? Thanks for any info.

West Saruta [S], Goblin Franctireur.. I'm not sure the exact position. There was a pack of goblins around a "???" for one of the Op missions on the way to the southmost tower on the map. That's where I got mine.. completely by accident.

I've gotten two off of yagudo outside of Oztroja. Yagudo High Priest, and Yagudo Templar, I believe. SAM, MNK, WHM, BRD, and SMN mobs as far as I saw <.<

I would like to know if this actually shows up as a Completed Quest in your log after the pixie is released into the spring. I know there are a number of quests that are never "current" but do show up as "completed" when finished. Is this one of them?

Releasing a pixie into the spring is believed to reduce/clear pixie hate. Killing pixies will cause them to stop curing you and even become aggressive, so it is advisable to never kill them and to clear hate if you do.

I don't think there's ever even been proof of "Pixie hate", proof please? (Sorry if I missed it, although I keep relatively up to date in the WotG section.)

I don't think SE realized how popular the little buggers were going to be. I remember seeing one guy start beating on one, and the entire zone started shouting and yelling at him. It was halarious.

SE will probably make them drop something valuable or whatever... otherwise, I don't forsee many people needing to reset their hate.

I think the whole pixie hate thing is just a misconception of the sidhe variety (from what I've read they behave differently) not curing people.

It was never proven, someone brought up maybe they'd have hate, then some jackass ran with it. Even if they did have a hate system, so what. Theres no reason to fight them anyway.

I think it's probably used to recruit the freelance NPC Titania, and/or maybe cause the fairies appear in the present zones. I don't think it's anything all that important, it's just some stupid thing I'm interested in. The really low droprate is discouraging though. Thanks for the replys anyway. I noticed wiki lists Goblin Grenediers in vunkerl can drop them so I'm trying them out too.

Their hate is very Apkallu-like anyways (in the sense that it decays fast over time). Don't ask how I know though... not like I hAve killed any pixies.. or anything <.<;;;

The pack of gobbies nearest G-6 in Meri. Mountains also can drop pixies. PT member whacked one, pixie and a K.Seal.

Maybe if you kill enough pixies beastmen will think you're on their side and not agro you!

there is some one in my shell that gets a kick uot of using jump on pixies, they still raise him when he dies, and i think he kills a few a day. another person likes them as aspir pets, he also kills them frequently, though not as often. so the hate system is probly a myth for now, but would be neat if implemented. but some one else said it, why kill them at all?

IIrc, Pixies and the bomb-laying goblins were found in the dats in the last updated before WoTG, meaning they are within the main content. Also, the area mob listings for the WotG areas were found in the main content which is...odd to say the least. However, both of these point to WotG having SOME effect in the present, most likely the addition of pxies and or bomb-laying goblins...

I've seen them present in S. Gusta in the present at least, not sure about other zones though I wouldn't be surprised.
