Rank Up Requirements

Currently sitting @ Allied Ribbon of Glory (rank4), yet the campaign evaluator says that I don't yet qualify for a promotion. Question is this, what is the requirements for ranking up beyond ARG (assuming another promotion is currently available), or if the next rank up has not been implemented.

edit: Currently have done 6 sets of Crystal Fist II (max XP/AN for each) and a pair of battles for about 500xp each. Gonna try a couple more ops later this evening.

Try more battles instead.

Yes, do more battles.

With each battle you do, you can see your evaluation rank go up.

Example:
I only did 3 campaign ops and two battles.

NPC said I didn't do much.

Did few more battles.

NPC said I was doing good, but not enough for promotion.

Did another battle.

NPC said I did more than enough for next rank.

Most medals usually say something about excellence in service on the campaign front -- campaign, not campaign ops front. Fight more battles.

I usually just get a merit worth of campaign battles each promotion cycle and that has worked fine so far.

Use 5 Tags and get 5k Exp in Campaign, and I'm pretty sure you'll rank up to at least where I am, Sterling Star, I get the feeling I've done way more than I need too in Campaign, and just enough Ops.

Quite honestly, the whole system seems to be a bit screwy.

I was sitting on my Bronze Star earlier, attempted to rank up and was told I was being demoted.

Thought "screw that", went and flagged Aegis Scream II (which I hadn't beaten before), and did one campaign battle in Saruta. Got 1070 exp from the battle, plus 210 exp for beaten Aegis Scream II.

Went and completed the Op, talked to Llewllyn for the heck of it, expecting to hear I wasn't doing well enough to go up... only to be told I was getting a Promotion.

So here I sit with my Sterling Star, highly confused.

Anndd, my thoughts are getting confirmed that ranking up has nothing to do with the number of campaign battles you join, but the amount of AN or Exp you get does, now to find out how much exactly...

I'm 6 days behind my wife for promotion and 40K alliead notes ahead of her ... all because I tried to just do campaign ops for my first promotion... only good thing is that I'll probably have 200K AN by the time something good is available to purchase with them. Ever since the first promotion issue, I've been getting about 40K exp/lp per promotion...I'm sure it's way overkill.

wait you can talk to npc and see how good your doing before rank up? I thought it's just do as much as you can and pray your good enough at rank up

I just do daily Ops and Campaign Battle whenever I am free. 5+ Battles a day and I have no issue ranking up when I am first able to.

You have to accept the evaluation to stay the same (and probably to be demoted to).

You can also d/c right after being told what the result is, and it'll act as though you never asked for the assessment once you log back on.

I notice it's a little more weighted on the Campaign side, I usually have 7 Op Credits, just spam 3 or 4 on the day Im due to rank up, maybe another one or two during the week, will be getting my next Star in a couple days.

You don't have to D/C, just tell the NPC that you want to continue your efforts, the timer will not reset to 5 days until you explicitly accept the results of the evaluation (this is true even if you get a promotion, but I can't understand why anyone would decline that ).

i managed to get bronze star rank at bastok by giving up one OP and failing another but i did at least 5k xp in campaign, i also did one of each campaign op offered, the failed ones were ones i tried to repeat. i did campaign about 4 days before my evaluation and none since so maybe so long as you have earnt xxx amount of xp or xxx amount of allied notes over the last 5 days you will rank up?

Seems like promotion from AR Glory requires ~3000 notes.

Friend of mine said he hasn't done any Campaign Ops in a couple of weeks, he just ranked up to Sterling Star, he Campaigns pretty regularly, I'll try to confirm more of this info with him later.
