    Beastmen running willd?

So how are things going on over servers? The Beastmen seem to have comepletely kicked the asses of all three nations less then 24 hours after the update and are well on their way to taking the three cities again, it looks like. I haven't been out in active battle yet, but what the heck is it like out there, have the NPC's been nerfed or is no one doing defense?

Batallia, Rolanberry, Grauberg, Gustaberg, and Sarutabaruta are the only zones the Allied Forces still have a good presence in >_>

Not sure how much the mobs are buffed, but the NPCs seem a lot weaker. I was just in a campaign where Choh Moui died.

Isn't that a good thing? I was in Davoi (La Vaule?) last night and NPCs were rushing in and then getting killed. I was with a good handful of players and we're actually being more co-operative from what I've noticed and team worked a lot.

It felt a bit more fun as winning is far from certain, and it kinda simulates the real "war" feeling (given the tragic stuff that's happened in the past). It felt ... exciting, almost...

Gilgamesh has Gustaberg only as a zone ahead of the beastmen, everywhere else if failey mc fail.
Also, the Maintenance set all the beastmen to level 4 max prosp max morale and allied forces to zero. Or at least they're at zero now, I know yesterday that all the beasts where @ level 4

Personally, I think players just got a little lazy, what with the ridiculously powerful NPC's slaughtering anything and everything in their path. For a while there I saw people subbing casters just to spamheal, one guy wouldn't raise people unless the conflict music was up. It would make sense to finally limit the NPC power levels after all, unless Squenix intended Campaign to be a spectator sport. And now that they've been evened out a bit, or so it seems, players are just going to have to man up and start taking it seriously again. And maybe do some travelling instead of camping the same zone. I don't know, but I sure started a lot of sentences with "and" there. Bad, bad grammar.

    Pretty much the same everywhere...
NPCs are fleeing from battle after 5-6 deaths (due to low morale) and more than a squad of beastmen is a sure defeat.

Now if the lvl 40ish people would stop spamming barspells and actually help fighting...

I wouldn't mind seeing that, actually. Just once, then PCs can go back to owning most of everything. And if we lose areas, we'll be able to get more ops done.

I've seen that thing with three sticks. the incoming beastmen went to it and warped, then I started beating on it thinking I was all that.

Khroma quads started popping all over the place and proceeded to rape me.

Then took 20 mins to get a raise!

I'm very much looking forward to the prospect of defending the homeland. I think it was quickly realized that after the first two weeks of WotG, we'd figured out how to completely subdue any incomming threat -- now it looks as if we might have to do some of those supply runs.

Beastmen, in my San d'Oria, etc.

can the 3 cities only be atk'd after the campaign update's on monday and it shows ron/sauru/gusta in beasty control? As far as i understood it, the zone next to the city must be overtaken for the beasties to siege a city. And on ramuh: windy/bastok r 0 prosperity/moral and sandy is still maxed at 1. ron is the only starter zone that is still 100% sandy controlled. odd

    Re: Beastmen running willd?

Yeah, it seems like the beastmen just kicked it up a notch or 10. Also, the Xarc forces are pushing hard core. First time I've seen a bunch of them in Jugner and whatnot. The nations on Alexander are losing 3-5 zones so far. It probably will take a lot more people taking part in campaign before this gets smoothed over. Allied forces need to step up a bit more and not worry so much.

Yesterday I was solo at Ronfaure with NPCs and Virgaut :nikkei: there. Poisonhand came and Virgaut tanked him like a champ with her Aegis. The other NPCs were fine, one on one... but once the orcs started ganging up on them, they went down fast. If it wasn't for the general, that battle would have been lost. So, NPCs aren't too weak, they're just giving up a lot sooner due to getting overwhelmed at points. Anything more than one wave at a time, and they're toast... Or the wrong wave without any PCs there, and they're toast.

Though, am I the only one excited at the thought of having to defend the home nations? >.>

    Re: Beastmen running willd?

San d'Oria's heavy armor/melee capacity means they're handling this a lot better than the other two nations.

The Yagudo are tearing the Federation a new one- at this point, regular NPC's have around 1500 HP at the weakest and are being just plain destroyed. Ragnarok will likely lose everything for Windurst, possibly all the way down to West Saruta meaning we'll see city battles post-update.

Already decided I'm camping West Saruta/Fort K-N from now on, especially after doing the latest Windurst storyline stuff. The thought of what the Yagudo will do to a demoralized Federation army in town is hideous.

How are these two statements not mutually exclusive? Unless you enjoy being dead through most of the battle? To each their own...

I have noticed that the AI seems to have changed. in the Inlet yesterday and the mobs came up to the bridge and just stood around, pacing back and forth. We were able to pull them back one at a time, including the general. They weren't attacking the outpost as they normally would, and they weren't aggroing players. Methinks there is some serious bugs going on in Campaign.

    Re: Beastmen running willd?

It might have to do with each nation's Morale/Prosperity. They are at their lowest levels and the Beastmen Confederate are at their highest levels. At least on Midgard. I've been to a few Campaign battles where if one NPC died the rest would "retreat."

Some of the beastmen are even performing spec ops. Couple quadavs came over to the tower put a mine each and warped.

If it's a bug I hope they don't fix it until after the conquest week is over so I can see an attack on the cities. Just hope it doesn't say like this forever though 'cause it will be no fun if it's impossible to take back regions from the beastmen.
