Hah, that's a nice 'fuck you' present to the next President who has to clean that shit up.
I doubt anything will happen to the US because of this. It just seems we wanna bring aid to the regions that the Russians already stomped over.
For mother Russia!
i don't think this is a big deal
Just looks like we're sending humanitarian aid there and that's it. Hopefully it doesn't lead to something more.
...until Russia kills one or two of our troops delivering aid.
I thought this thread was about about more Strategic Arms Reduction Treaties..

I laugh at your hippi notions
Bush is sending aid atm and what I think he's hoping for Russians to open fire on Americans so we have a reason to go to war. He's instigating this shit like no other. I believe it was in either WW1 or WW2 we did the same shit to get involved and supplied Germany's opposing country so they took out our submarine and then we had a reason to get involved.
George W. Bush also wants to make a super death ray of death that he will put on the Moon. When the construction is complete he and his most trusted investors will ride a secret spaceship, that runs off of the worlds misery and malcontent, and take his throne upon the rocky desolate waste that is the Moon. From atop his Moon throne he will destroy the Earth for its irreverent polls and protesters. Once the Earth has exploded he plans on returning to the floating mass of rubble to lay claim to the remaining segways and soft pretzels.
This conflict in Russia is just a brilliantly designed ploy to make the whole world forget about his No Human Left Behind initiative.
We have nothing to worry about, Russia agreed to a cease-fire guys!!!!! (lol)
I think the US is virtually obligated to do something like this. After all, if they leave Georgia to swing, all their other allies in the region will lose faith in the value of their relationship with the US.
I really don't think Bush is hoping for an excuse to go to war with Russia. It would comprimise them in Iraq and recent reports suggest they'd have a tough time taking on Iran, let alone Russia. He seems to just be putting in foot down and making it clear that he's fully behind Georgia on this, instead of allowing Russia to walk all over them. Seems like a pretty good move to me.
Good, then we can stop with this retarded bullshit already.
Georgia was dumb, Russia swatted them, now Russia is going to take both Provinces and secure more of their territory in the Caspian. What right do we have to do anything lol.
But, we should also send tons of aid, because the US isn't going into a depression and there aren't tons of people in the states who could use that aid. The way the western media has glorified Georgia - who (Along with their claims back to Russia, although Russia's came first) has been accused by Russia of committing genocide in the region anyway - is pretty silly.
I think there's more to see but I don't see this as a recreation of the USSR and I see it more as a challenge of Georgia's NATO legitimacy, securing the Caspian for their oil supply, challenging Kosovo with South Ossetia and Abkhazia, and challenging the US to determine our true intentions and thought processes.
