Obama needs to show that the current pragmatic shift in foreign policy within
the Bush Administration is towards the same stuff he was called naive for suggesting 18 months ago. McCain needs to show that he isnt the flustered angry old man who can not handle more then 1 thing at a time that he has made himself out to be during the last 2 weeks. Also, he needs to show that he is healthy enough to get people to stop worrying about the thought of Sarah Palin at the helm of this country's economy and with control of the nuclear football.

[Correction]

All I want to see is a strong moderator who knows how to shut up a presidential candidate when his time is up.

That alone is enough for a powerful debate.

McCain said he wouldn't debate until the bailout situation was solved, and also has decided to come to the debate without it being solved, so its understandable to be confused. But it is indeed on, in 22 minutes!

I lol'd a little when McCain wished Ted Kennedy well in his opening remarks when he was the one of the only senators, if not the only senator not present to give him a standing ovation in the Senate chamber when he returned to vote on a bill after his first surgery when both Hilldawg and Obama made time out of their campaigning to come back lol
