PLD Advice

Alright currently I am a PLD in GenesisLS as one of the main tanks I would like some advice on gear that I may be able to attain not easily but just reasonably.

Current Weapon : Chainsaw +1
Current Shield: Koenig Shield
Ammo: Bibiki Seashell

Currently this isn't that bad due to performance as I tank most stuff in sky and such without dying. I would like some professional criticism and advice on what I can use... Please don't start drama as I really don't want to waste my time reading it but yes I am working on Homam and getting Cassie Earring and Askar Feet.

P.S Will be willing to sell Kirin's Osode to get some money for my PLD but it will rather be a tough decision so it should be for a very good reason.

This is for both /WAR and /NIN.
I rarely use /WAR unless it's for Dynamis or something but yes this is for both /NIN and /WAR.

get some Iron Ram legs, shouldn't be wearing askar or crimson legs for straight tanking, crimson only for kiting~ hell work on the whole Iron Ram set, most of it can fill your gear spots pretty good, and works great as a MDB build for magic attacking HNMs.

suppanomimi does basicly nothing for your tanking. Work on CoP get sea get an Etherial earring. Hospiltar's Earring is worthwhile too, more HP cured, less MP used curing over time, more enmity gained from each cure: etc.

I wouldn't use Jelly ring unless you know you're not gonna get hit by any magic damage. Just Wear the Hercules Ring full time should be plenty good.

You need to sling in haste gear for your flashes and ni's (so dusk hands/feet, turban and swift). I like to have an idle gearset, ichi set, ni/flash set, and max enmity setup which depending on what action a few pieces change like valor feet for sentinel.

i would say get some haste gear, loq. earring, a different idle ring (i prefer mermaid)

As for Sea I already have Rajas Ring for my SAM, I am right now on the promies for my Ethereal Earring I know I want to replace Suppa. I am almost at the wings rank with 40k notes waiting for my Iron Ram gear. I also have Dusk gloves for my THF and Walahra Turban and Swift belt I have all the haste gear for that I forgot to add that I switch to that gear for Ichi/Ni and Flash.

there is nothing wrong with being a part of team gallant lol, improvements would be... Ares's Cuirass (the best imo), Avalon Breastplate, that Hydra bodypiece, Valor Surcoat? I might be missing something, but as you can see most of those improvements dont exactly fall in your lap lol

Get some Dusk Gloves and/or Feet to wear for /NIN if you dont have Homam

AF body is fine, and I'd HQ the feet first, since the surcoat doesn't give you anything but a whitebox. The 2 skill on the feet is nice, plus they give you some extra HP.

Ranged: Ditch the bibikishell, there are better pieces for that slot (Rosenbogen, Lamian Kaman (+1), and Fenrir's Stone all come to mind as easily-obtainable pieces for it)
Head: Keep turban around whenever you /NIN. Swap it in for Utsusemi and Flash (or full-time it if you don't want to blink). 5% Haste over time will beat out 7 Enmity.
Neck: PARADE GORGET
Ears: Suppa is doing nothing for you. Ethereal, Loquacious, Hades(+1) are all better. Also, point of preference, but I'd use all of the above before I'd bother with a Cassie.
Hands/Waist/Feet: Get Dusk hands/feet and Swift Belt. Use them for Flash and Utsusemi. Replace your hands with Askar once you get them.
Pants: AF2 and AF1 are both better than Askar and Crimson.
In general: Once you get Homam hands, pants, feet, use them for your casts. Work on Valor/Ares bodies. Base your idle/casting/ohshit sets on how much blinking your mages can handle.

It seems like you're just afraid of using AF1...and really...why? PLD AF1 is completely acceptable for a new PLD to wear, and most of the pieces rank in the top 3 choices. That being said, you're not wearing any Haste, and it's the single most important stat /NIN, so if Homam isn't an option, buy Dusk. Now.

Just to touch on this, if I'm fighting something I can easily hit (and MP isn't an issue), I'll idle in Suppa/Fort Torque, along with Sword merits and Homam gear you can build TP for Attonement, Chivalry, or even Spirits Within pretty quickly.

Get a Cerberus Mantle (or a Resent. Cape) instead of that Boxer's for Enm setup, same for Warwolf > Trance belt, legs > af2 or Iron Ram would be better than cc ;x
