    Crysis Graphics question

Ok, so in the System settings, the 'Optimize' option states that I can have all the graphic levels on 'high' BUT the game still lagged a lot.

The optimized reso and AA were 1768x992 and 4x. So I just turned off AA and everything worked fine.

Game looks great basically. When I turned textures and object quality to 'Very High' there was slight stuttering but it was virtually the same in performance.

My question is, why does AA make the game so choppy? When I had the settings on the 'optimized' preference it was like 1 FPS.

For anyone else who has Crysis, how well does your system run the game and on what settings?

AA basically smooths out jagged lines and edges and puts greater strain on the graphics card. Not only does the graphics card have to work harder, the gddr (onboard graphics memory) has to store more pixel information

Ive found that "optimized" settings in Crysis dont work very well. Some trial and error is need to find the right balance for your system. Personally, I turn AA down to 2x and try to push everything else as much as I can.
