Weather and Magic Accuracy

How much magic accuracy does a weather effect give you, provided that you are wearing correct Obi ? Is there any research ?
The answer of questions above lead to which equipment should I put on the waist slot when I need to nuke as accurate as possible under xxxstorm effect, Penitent's Rope or xxx Obi.

I think it's 10%. Boost for each weather that's up. But I think it's potency or something I'm not sure. But it's on wiki I believe.

Weather (as well as the current Vana'diel Day) should increase both magic accuracy and attack. I believe the accepted number is +10% chance to increased attack and +10% magic accuracy per day/weather icon. With an obi equipped, you obtain a 100% chance at increased attack.

There's no record of day/weather effecting potency (different from attack - that is to say, for example, the effects of Slow or Paralyze).

plus approximately a 1/3 chance for one of the following:

-0.1 for magic weak to the current day

to my knowledge, i've never seen any tests done on macc related to weather/day. does the poster above me have any studies or evidence to back up the 10% claim? sounds to me like another "ele staves are 15% macc" claim which didn't pan out to be correct in the end.

In his post Even More on Magic Resist Rates, Robonosto looks at a data set testing the accuracy of Paralyze on Aura Statues. He concludes that the day has no effect.

Whether this extends to weather and/or other magic is unknown, unfortunately, but given that there don't seem to be any tests suggesting that weather does have an accuracy effect, it seems safer to go with an INT/magic accuracy belt rather than a day/weather obi if accuracy is the concern.

No obis were used in those tests, any effect on magic accuracy would be so small it would be within margin of error.
