iPhone question

Quick question about iPhones. Mine was stolen last night, and I'm eligible for an upgrade on Monday so I'm just deactivating my number then waiting a till then to get my number transferred. I've got that iPhone backed up pretty recently, to a few weeks ago I think, but just wanted to make sure I'd be able to sync the new phone with the backup I have stored on my computer.

Also, where the hell is the backup file stored in Windows 7?

I think you are fucked on the backup because different SIM card, but I may be wrong.

You are not fucked on the backup. iTunes backs up your phone on every sync just for situations like this. When you plug in your new phone to your computer, iTunes will give you the option to "restore from backup." You will have to reenter your passwords and set up thing like wifi again.

You should be able to transfer your purchased apps but I am not sure if not having the old phone will present a problem. If you are getting your phone from an Apple Store then you might want to ask them if you will have any issues transferring your purchased apps.
