Drg TP suggestions

Listed below is my current setup and the gear I shall be getting in next few months. Any suggestions in gear?

I personally prefer Askar Hands/Iota Ring over Toreador/Homam hands in most situations(Walhra turban and homam hands for zerg)

The net difference in accuracy between Toreador/Homam and Iota/Askar is only 1 accuracy, but you get 8 more DEX with Homam/Toreador which should push you up another crit tier and all you really lose is 20hp/20mp and 1% haste.

I'd take 8DEX 3VIT 8Evasion over a loss of 1 acc/1% haste. The 1 acc shouldn't matter much and neither should 1% haste for most situations.

Also if you can, strive for an Aurum Cuiress, it's like an Askar Korazin+1 and you'd make up the loss of 2DA with Vork anyway.

I don't agree with the losing 1% haste idea. Even if you do gain another 1-2% critical hit rate (a big if, 1% for sure but 2% probably not), you aren't going to top the 1% haste in most situation.

Aurum's body on the other hand is a major upgrade. As much as having acc bonus trait, you have to remember that you really don't have any acc JA like other primary DD jobs that can use the gear line of hauby. So in the end, you are looking at lack of ACC and that 8 dex 6 acc from aurum's is going to help greatly.

Mnk isn't a 2h user though so I'd expect that to be an important factor too when comparing the acc of 2 jobs.

If you have both askar and aurum body, which will you wear?

i have valk fork, rajas, brutal, askar body for 6 hit /sam. so i kinda enjoy the 3 + 2 + 2 + brutal TPing DAs

i was wondering why people chose aurum over askar if they have both.

Its like a mini comparison with pole strap VS platinum grip +1 isnt it? and i see almost everyone use pole grip anyway

enlighten me prz because all i see MAINLY amongst the 2 body is 2% DA vs 6 acc

when im not /sam or i need acc, i wear homam.

edit: nvm i think most people use aurum, and see it as a clearer choice, because they dont have a valk fork. Most people that have valk fork seem to find it harder to compare the 2.

8 dex = 6 acc = 3% hitrate.
Provided your acc isn't capped, I'd take that over 2% DA
For example, 100 swings with aurum vs 102 swings with askar (assuming u wear same DA gear in other slots should still be the 2 swing diff)

Let's say ur acc is 87% with askar and 90% with aurum
100 x .9 = 90 landed hits
102 x .87 = 88.74 landed hits.

Aurum body has 3 more str, which is 75% chance of raising fstr by 1 point if I understand that correctly.
Also has 3 more attack(Every little bit counts!)
8 dex can go towards a crit build though less likely if ur not stacking dex like a mofo.

Basically, you'll hit more, you'll hit harder, and have a better chance at a crit build.

Also keeping in mind that the diff will be larger with the more DA u have to begin with due to the fact that you get less of an increase with the more DA added.
