So, my 2 year old Samsung SyncMaster 226bw monitor isn't working correctly; few weeks ago the time it takes for it to turn on started to get longer and longer, and right now it takes like 6 hours for it to even go to standby mode. The weird thing is that once it finally turns on, there's no problems at all after that.

I know that the PC isn't the problem, since it acts the same way with my Xbox360&PS3.

I've been told that it isn't worth it to try to repair monitors and it costs minimum 150€ to fix it, so now I'm wondering if I should just buy a new one (only after 2 years, god that sucks :/) or try to repair it anyway, since other than this it's as good as new. Anyone have experience about this kind of situation/know any good monitors to be used with PC&consoles (21'+)? Any help and advice would be appreciated.
